Making a Difference in Peru
Throughout this trip, we have experienced God’s love and working hands in so many ways. We had the privilege of visiting Casa Gracia, the Grace House, which is a home established to help young women who are suffering from various disorders that need some extra care as they are rehabilitated and lifted up to be able to return back to society whole and well.
We are spending a lot of time at the Dream House going around the rooms and doing what we can to bring the house to a state of completion. We have teams set up to accomplish tasks like sorting donated items, painting, laying carpet, cleaning, assembling beds, and more. The teams are working hard and are really focused on how this Dream House will have a major impact on the district of La Victoria.
In fact, the Dream House is already having a major and visible impact on the district. We had teams of people go out into the streets, cleaning up the sidewalks and roads. Others head out to meet and invite the community to church and engage with the children of La Victoria with games and toys, right outside the church. We were even able to prepare several packets of clothing that included full sets of clothes for an entire family. The people were so touched and blessed with the offerings provided. It was so nice to see people that we met and invited actually come and be involved with what we were doing outside the church.
